When continuing COVID-19 issues and the #BlackLivesMatter movement took force, we thought long and hard on what we could really do to give back and truly help people. So, we put out an open call as a scholarship to our connected values based community and we got so many amazing candidates. From then we decided to offer not one but four (as a summer cohort) full-ride course scholarships to some outstanding and highly deserving entrepreneurs and professionals on the cusp of becoming thought leaders. Just one professional recipient needed to pull out as he grew his tech startup and we are excited for his success.
Over the next 6-8 weeks we got to know our new impressive students, as three bold and courageous women who are all experts in their respective fields; HR and diversity, educational course expertise and invention / patent expertise. All three women had the passion, drive and motivation to step into thought leadership roles and welcomed the extra support to move faster and more effectively to land there. Myself and four other experts designed with course, Break On Through specifically for professionals and experts at any stage and any age in their careers who seek to transform into thought leaders by leveraging media. Our six to eight week process (based on calendar weeks and holidays) involves six key areas and builds upon itself week over week. We also include 1:1 calls with me, the course creator and group Zoom calls every other week for increased accountability and inspiration/motivation. In addition to the course content, each student is asked to complete weekly ‘break through challenges’ to implement, test and expand their skills and capacities.
